Just a note that I have purchased the Engineered Solutions STC for the 100W landing lights.
A few things:
The kit contained:
STC Paperwork (certificate)
Installation Instructions
2 light bulbs (Major brand name, easily purchasable)
2 stickers for the inside of the landing light bay

The cost of the kit was $125 plug $6 shipping, and took just over a week to arrive. The shop charged me 1.75 hours labor for "installation" which included the installation of the the stickers and filing the paperwork for the STC with the FAA.

I haven't flown at night, yet, but I can tell you that the numbers say that I can turn on both lights (but not BAM! at the same time) and draw less current (80% of one old light) and have more light output (2x200,000 c.p.) versus one of the old bulbs and have less concern about melting the landing light covers.
If anyone would like a copy of the promo flyer for this product, let me know. I have no financial interest ... blah blah blah ...
More to come ...

Nice.

Thanks for the post. I have been thinking about some sort of lighting change. I kinda want that one on the nose wheel for night taxiing.

I hope I already answered this request last year ...

I just replaced my first lower-wattage light bulb after 2 years of service, and can't find a web site for Engineered Solutions to give you ... the sales sheet is pretty good information, and I hope it is OK that I post the following in the interest of all us 35-M35 owners who want to keep their Bonanza batteries happy.

Classic Bonanza Owners
Prevent Heat Damage to Your Landing Light Covers and
Generator Overload When Operating Landing Lights

Engineered Solutions 100 Watt Bonanza Landing Light Kit has FAA STC approval for Bonanza Models 35 through M35. The lower current draw prevents generator overload and lower heat prevents damage to the landing light covers, while maintaining the beam intensity of the original light.
