The beech maintenance manual calls out the use of Mobil Compound CG with a level if 1/4in from the bottom of the Landing Gear Transmission. Does anyone know where one can find this product or maybe an approved substitute? |

"The beech maintenance manual calls out the use of Mobil Compound CG"
The current Mobile product to use in the older Beechcraft gear transmission box has evolved into MobileGear 636. This has been confirmed with Beechcraft Tech support. Beech tech support says "As long as the product meets MIL-6-2105 Grade 75 or MIL-PRF-2105 Grade 75 it is ok to use. I do not have any cross reference data at this time to other manufactures. But for small quantity availability try Performance Aero www.performanceaero.com 800-200-3141 8oz. bottle $7
Side Note: The factory new Bonanzas are coming off the line with Synthetic gear lube now. I'm not sure of the position of Beech on changing over a older Bonanza with synthetic, I do know that you do not want to mix the two different types of gear lube. |
