I'm working on rebuilding an extra engine I got with my C35. The Case is unrepairable due to a double puncture from a piston rod break. A friend has a low time E-185 for a great price, and I wanted to know if these cases are the same. The engine has some other goodies to make it well worth it if the case can be used.
Thanks,

Yes, this can be verified from the TCM E-Series engine parts manual.

Here is the complete manual link

Not all E-series engines are the same. A slightly different type was used in Navions and a few others and can't be used in a Bonanza. The E-series that were used in the Bonanza line are the same but vary by type such as E-185-1, -11 , E-225-8 etc.
During rebuild, as long as you have the correct parts, you can build the E-185 engine into a E-225-8. |
