Going to look at some property in the hill country; Alamosa CO. Field elevation is around 7800 with morning temps around 50F. My F-35 climb charts indicate it will be able to make the climbs with considerable margin even at max gross weight. The highest we've operated regularly so far has been around 5500' and admittedly it has never given us an issue but 7800' was a surprise. Anyone with experience up there? The plan was to maintain VFR while requiring the ability to make the IFR climb requirements for the conservatives out there. Thoughts? Thanks.
