Bonanza Cabin Door Seal information

Performance Aero has a seal for $79, and a kit that includes the piece between the door hinges for $89.
Wag Aero has a 12' bulk roll of the weatherstrip material for $28, part number H-792-000.

I got inspired by the series of articles in the ABS magazine about interior re-dos, and decided to take the plunge. My airplane had a hideous plaid interior, cheaply done over the original horsehair padding about 15 years ago. Definitely time for it to go.

I found an upholstery sewing machine from www.tuffsew.com for $279, found the appropriate materials at local upholstery supply houses, and I am about 80% done. Surprisingly, it's turning out pretty good. The windlace (big fat welting around the door on the inside) I am making myself.

You might want to check with Dennis Wolter at Air Mod who wrote the articles (series of 8 or 9) to see if he'll allow a link to them on your website. They are posted on his website, www.airmod.com under 'articles'. Really informative on the nuts and bolts of reupholstering and old Bonanza, and perfect for your 'refurbish' section.

Thanks again for the website--Keep up the good work!
